Program
This program is designed to provide you with the strategies, practice
and confidence required to improve your TOEIC®
scores.
- Level: Intermediate –
Advanced Plus
- Enrolment: Every session
- Length: 1 – 3 sessions
- Topics: Familiarization with
the format of the TOEIC® test strategies, practice
tests with feedback and error correction and diagnosis of weak
points in English to help students learn what they need to study
to improve their TOEIC® scores.

Program
Pacific Gateway’s Business English Program will prepare
you for a variety of business situations. This program focuses
on achieving practical skills for international business.

- Topics: Conducting effective
meetings, representing your company, developing business projects,
business writing, presentation and negotiation skills.

4. International
Business Skills Program – Business English, TOEIC®
& Computers
Through a combination of our morning ESL program, intensive Microsoft
Office Specialist studies, TOEIC® and Assertiveness
Skills electives, this program will help students develop practical
business skills.
- Level: Intermediate –
Advanced Plus
- Enrolment: Every session
- Length: 6 – 9 sessions
- Topics: Developing fluency
and building interpersonal communication skills for business
situations, TOEIC® study, computer skills, and
assertiveness skills training.

5. Cambridge Program
The Cambridge Program will prepare you to take the Cambridge First
Certificate in English Examination (FCE) or the Cambridge Advanced
Certificate (CAE).
- Level: Upper-intermediate
– Advanced Plus
- Enrolment: The program must
be taken according to the dates indicated on the college calendar.
- Length: 8-week and 12-week
programs are offered, for both FCE and CAE. Please check with
enrolment for availability at your location and date of choice.
- Cambridge Program Start Dates:
January, March, April, and September.
- Cambridge Test Dates: March,
June, and December.
- Topics: Grammar, compositions,
issues, discussion, vocabulary, and presentations.

6. Academic Skills
For the TOEFL® Program
If you are planning to enter a university or college or just want
to improve your TOEFL® score, Pacific Gateway’s
Academic Skills for the TOEFL® Program will help
you with the skills you need to achieve your language goals. This
integrated skills program will prepare you for a university or
college environment and will also allow you to take practice TOEFL®
exams to measure your progress. For extra practice with authentic
TOEFL® questions, take this course in conjunction
with our TOEFL® afternoon class.
- Level: Upper Intermediate
– Advanced Plus

- Length: 1 – 3 sessions
- Topics: Academic skills for
listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary
development.

Program
You can add power and effectiveness to your English communication
skills by taking the Power Speaking Program. This program emphasizes
dynamic fluency development through presentations and discussions.
- Level: Advanced – Advanced
Plus
- Enrolment: Every session

- Topics: Gathering and presenting
information, persuasion, problem solving, debating and assertiveness
skills training.

8. International
Business Internship Program
This program is designed for students who want to gain work experience
in an English-speaking environment. A combination of Business
English coursework and general English studies must be completed
prior to starting the internship portion of the program.
- Level: Advanced – Advanced
Plus
- Enrolment: Every session
- Length: 2 – 6 sessions
of course work (3 sessions being the preferred minimum); 2 –
3 sessions of work placement.
- Topics: Placement in a local
business for real hands-on experience.
